Hence, throughout Malaysia, it is very common to see hawker sellers put this dish up as Pan Mee.<\/p>\n<p>Whereas in Singapore, due to the heavier influence of Hokkien culture, this dish retains the name as Mee Hoon Kueh. There are 3 types of Pan Mee;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thin \u2013 similar to regular spaghetti size.<\/li>\n<li>Thick \u2013 much more in width, about 1cm width.<\/li>\n<li>Hand-torn \u2013 torn into flat pieces of non-uniform sheets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Fifth Title &#038; Last Content&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.4.4&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Best Red Braised Beef Noodle<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Red braised or &#8220;Hong Shao&#8221;, is when soy sauce is added during the process of making the soup and this red braised beef noodle soup was invented in Taiwan. I did some research to find out what makes Taiwanese Beef Soup Noodle different from the others? Really love this noodle when I was a kid, and here it is today, to share with you lovely people how this amazing noodle is made, from sketch!<\/p><p><em><i><strong>Serve 2<\/strong><br \/><\/i><\/em><\/p><p>Ingredients - For the broth<\/p><p>\u2013 200g of salt-preserved Chinese kohlrabi<br \/>\u2013 20g of dried anchovies<br \/>\u2013 5 liters of water<br \/>\u2013 1\/2 tbsp of salt<\/p><p>To make the broth<\/p><ol><li>Rinse the salt off the \"salt-preserved Chinese kohlrabi\" with water.<\/li><li>Put the \"salt-preserved Chinese kohlrabi\" and dried anchovies into a soup pot.<\/li><li>Add 5 liters of water.<\/li><li>Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer.<\/li><li>Let it simmer for 1 hour.<\/li><li>Only season with salt when it is done.<\/li><\/ol><p>Ingredients - The rest of the part<\/p><p>\u2013 2 portion of egg noodle (<a href=\"https:\/\/3thanwong.com\/how-to-make-noodle\/\">learn how to make egg noodle here<\/a>)<br \/>\u2013 20g of dried anchovies<br \/>\u2013 100g of minced meat<br \/>\u2013 1 tbsp of soy sauce<br \/>\u2013 1\/2 tsp of salt<br \/>\u2013 1 tsp of sugar<br \/>\u2013 4 cloves of garlic<br \/>\u2013 15g of dried wood ear fungus<br \/>\u2013 200g of baby spinach<br \/>\u2013 3 tbsp of cooking oil<\/p><p>Preparation<\/p><ol><li>For the dried wood ear, soak them into a bowl of water and soak for approximately 30 minutes.<\/li><li>Once the wood ear have soften and expanded in size, use a scissors and cut the stem off, which is the hard part of the wood ear.<\/li><li>Fold the wood ear into a size where your hand could grab hold of, then slice the wood ear into julienne and set aside.<\/li><li>For the baby spinach, pluck the leaf part from the stem.<\/li><li>Wash and rinse them with clean water twice. Strain and set aside.<\/li><li>Peel garlic, crush and chop.<\/li><li>Prepare the other ingredients accordingly.<\/li><\/ol><p>Cooking<\/p><ol><li>Preheat cooking pan\/wok with cooking oil.<\/li><li>Shallow fry the dried anchovies with low heat.<\/li><li>Strain the fried anchovies and set aside while leaving the oil in the pan.<\/li><li>At medium low heat, add chopped garlic into the pan and fry to golden.<\/li><li>Add minced meat and thoroughly fry it.<\/li><li>Add soy sauce, salt and sugar and fry the minced meat until dark brown color.
